Mashable’s #Hyatt4Good Tweetup Tour: New York City
Earlier this month, the folks over at Mashable announced their #Hyatt4Good TweetUp Tour. It is a six city tour to benefit the Summer of Social Good charity fund, which uses social media to raise money for four great charities: The Humane Society, LiveSTRONG, Oxfam America and the World Wildlife Fund.
The first stop of this tour was New York (with upcoming stops in Chicago, Denver, San Diego, Washington DC and Boston) and the venue was the beautiful Grand Hyatt New York, which just so happens to be located right across the street from our offices, making it impossible for us not to attend.

A couple hundred people attended this informal mixer, bringing members of the social media community together to have a good time on a rainy summer evening. Adam Hirsch of Mashable emceed the evening's festivities, with a raffle giveaway by the folks at BoroThreads. The event concluded with Josh Charles singing his song "Healing Time" which is dedicated to the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans with all proceeds from the song going to help rebuild and restore the city.

All said, it was a fun evening, and even better, it helped out some great charities. Thanks to the folks at Mashable, Hyatt, BoroThreads and Josh Charles for making it a great event!
