David Sumka has been converting back office functions of service providers into competitive advantages providing services that significantly enhance the customer’s experience for over 20 years. He joined IntraLinks in 2007 as the Senior Vice President of Finance Operations to lead the evolution of their “contract-to-collection” process. Mr. Sumka was most recently, Senior Director, Billing Operations and eCommerce at ESPN and previously held various positions in the US, Europe and the Middle East at Arbinet, Incom, MCI and World Telecom.

Mr. Sumka is an industry thought leader, who has designed and patented an automated clearinghouse settlement systems with real-time credit monitoring for wholesale trading. He has spoken at industry conferences throughout the US and Europe and is an author of a white paper, “Telecom Wholesale Billing: Lessons from the Financial Markets” and published in trade journals – Phone + and Billing World and OSS Today.

Mr. Sumka has a Master of Science in International Business from a joint program between Boston University and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Israel) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland. He is involved in service to his community as a committee member for the New York Says Thank You Foundation and CJ’s Bus Foundation. Both organizations provide assistance and support to communities, families and, especially, children who have suffered from disasters.
