The M&A world has experienced a challenging 2009. However, there has also been notable examples of exceptional deal making so what better forum to celebrate the successes than at the Financial Times and mergermarket European M&A Awards 2009 at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London. This was the third annual award ceremony hosted by the Financial Times and mergermarket, heralded as the most important event of its type in Europe, and it recognised the achievements of dealmakers from the financial, legal, corporate and private equity communities.

On Monday, the sixth annual Stevie Award recognition dinner and ceremony was held at the plush (and very elegant) roof terrace ballroom of the St. Regis Hotel. From IntraLinks, I and many of my colleagues - Brian Ward, Gregory Kenepp and Sejva Hoxha, also attended. We were there to receive the International Business Award for Best Customer Service Team. The evening's host for the evening was renowned businessman Michael Gallagher, who also serves as President of the Stevie Awards. We had an opportunity to learn more about other Stevie Award winners who were in attendance from all parts of the world, including Korea, Thailand, and Germany, just to name a few.
IntraLinks was just named in Inc. Magazine's 3rd annual ranking of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the country! Many world-class companies — including Microsoft and Oracle — have made it onto this elite list before becoming market leaders. 2009 is the third year IntraLinks has been ranked on the Inc. 500/5000. We were also named in 2003 and 2007.
