IntraLinks Continues Impressive Growth in 2002
New York, January 29, 2003
IntraLinks, Inc., the leading provider of secure digital workspaces to the financial services and pharmaceutical markets, today announced that revenue for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2002 increased to $20 million, a ten percent jump over the previous year. New contract growth was in excess of twenty percent for the year. In addition, IntraLinks has been EBITDA positive for the past nine months. The company experienced significant growth in financial services, with new offerings for alternative investments and mergers & acquisitions, and tripled its revenue in the life sciences market, where eight of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies now use IntraLinks to speed drug development and other critical business processes.
"In a year that was difficult for many businesses, achieving double digit growth is powerful evidence of the positive impact that IntraLinks brings to its clients' bottom lines," said Patrick Wack, President and CEO of IntraLinks. "Our sustained growth in the debt capital markets and life sciences and our successful new ventures in alternative investments and mergers & acquisitions prove that the value of IntraLinks is tangible and translates well to any business community where streamlined communication, increased efficiency and security are integral to success."
IntraLinks' growth was driven by increased adoption in the pharmaceuticals industry for use in drug development and continued expansion in the financial services industry. The number of alternative investment clients more than tripled in the past year, as did the number of M&A transactions that benefited from using IntraLinks to speed the due diligence process.
Over 100 leading companies, including all ten of the top ten US banks, ten of the top ten global banks and eight of the top ten pharmaceutical companies, use IntraLinks to improve the speed and efficiency of their business processes. Deloitte & Touche named IntraLinks the 29th Fastest Growing Technology company in the country in its 2002 Fast 500, and the 3rd Fastest Growing company in the New York Region.
