IntraLinks Triples Pharmaceutical Revenues in 2002
New York, January 29, 2003
IntraLinks, Inc., the leading provider of secure digital workspaces to the financial services and pharmaceutical markets, today announced that revenue for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2002 increased to $20 million, a ten percent jump over the previous year. The growth was led by a three-fold increase in revenue from clients in the life sciences market; eight of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies now use IntraLinks to speed drug development and streamline other business processes.
"Many of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world are now using IntraLinks to speed clinical trials and other business processes," said Richard Jenkins, General Manager for Life Sciences at IntraLinks. "Our clients in the life sciences market are seeing a community effect, similar to what our clients in the debt capital markets have experienced for the past several years. The benefits of using IntraLinks grow exponentially as we achieve traction in the market, because we connect the various members of the clinical trial community in one secure, neutral, third-party hosted environment, enabling them to communicate more efficiently."
IntraLinks has built relationships with other critical industry players during the past year to expand its ability to connect the community. Members of Contract Research Organizations (CROs), Institutional Review Boards and investigators access information for multiple trials on IntraLinks, enhancing the convenience to those using IntraLinks as a drug development hub.
IntraLinks' value translates well to any business community where streamlined communication, increased efficiency and security are integral to success. This past fall, Deloitte & Touche named IntraLinks the 29th Fastest Growing Technology company in the country in its 2002 Fast 500, and the 3rd Fastest Growing company in the New York Region.
"Life sciences is a critical market for IntraLinks, and we are committed to sustaining our growth in this area. IntraLinks is a proven solution for speeding clinical trials, and that not only improves our clients' bottom lines-it can also affect the lives of patients seeking new therapies," said Patrick Wack, President and CEO of IntraLinks.
