IntraLinks Forms Strategic Alliance with the International Network of M&A Partners
New York, April 4, 2005
IntraLinks, Inc., a leading provider of secure on-demand workspaces to the financial services industry, today announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with the International Network of M&A Partners, (IMAP), an exclusive global partnership of 58 leading merger and acquisition advisory firms. Under the terms of the agreement, IntraLinks will serve as the preferred virtual data room provider to IMAP's network of advisory firms. In 2004, IMAP's member firms managed 190 transactions.
"IMAP allows leading M&A advisory firms to conduct middle-market transactions around the globe with the highest degree of efficiency," said Mark Esbeck, President of IMAP. "Using IntraLinks' virtual data rooms will enhance our ability to reach global buyers and improve overall speed and efficiency."
"The members of IMAP have long proven themselves as innovators in middle-market dealmaking," said Chris Thomas, Executive Vice President of Business Development for IntraLinks. "IntraLinks is committed to providing high-value solutions for the middle-market, cross-border M&A industry, and IMAP is our ideal partner for reaching this audience."
IntraLinks allows companies to post confidential information in secure virtual data rooms for due diligence in mergers and acquisitions transactions. Traditionally, banks and their corporate clients store paper documents in physical rooms, allowing buyers to enter one at a time to review information over a period of weeks or months. Using a virtual data room, buyers conduct due diligence simultaneously, shortening the deal timeline.
