ISID Launches IntraLinks Virtual Dealroom Service for Secure Online Management of Confidential M&A Documents
New York and Tokyo, Feb. 21, 2008
Information Services International – Dentsu, Ltd. (TYO:4812, [“ISID”]) today announced the launch of its Japanese-language virtual dealroom service for those conducting mergers and acquisitions both into and from Japanese companies.
The M&A virtual dealrooms are powered by IntraLinks® On-Demand Workspaces™, a leading online service for the secure and efficient exchange of sensitive documents. ISID launched this service for loan syndication in December 2006, which is now in use by all of the leading megabanks in Japan.
As the Japanese M&A market has expanded in recent years, each domestic transaction has required preparation of a highly secure physical location to store huge quantities of highly confidential materials that potential buyers review in hard copy, while conducting their due diligence. The new ISID virtual dealroom service--powered by IntraLinks--allows for the secure management and review of information online directly from users’ desks. IntraLinks online workspaces can be used as a broad platform to facilitate every phase of a transaction, from marketing to due diligence and closing. Virtual dealrooms can help to speed transactions of every size and type, including buy- and sell-side M&A, negotiated sales and financing.
IntraLinks is a leading provider of virtual dealroom solutions in the US and Europe, where its services have enabled thousands of transactions. There has been a strong demand for Japanese localization from those who have experienced English-version virtual dealroom service on cross-border deals and progress has now been made to allow for use on domestic M&A transactions. As approximately 80 percent of all M&A transactions in Japan are pure domestic deals, ISID expects that the launch of its Japanese-language virtual dealrooms — and Japanese-language customer support services for them — will advance into the domestic M&A market quickly.
ISID has consulted with investment banks engaged in financial advisory services and has completed preparation of a total workflow for Japanese virtual dealroom service that adheres to insider trading prevention information security standards, inclusive of scanning service and logistics.
