IntraLinks Reports 43 Percent Increase in Revenue in 2007
Fifth Consecutive Year of Strong Double-Digit Growth
New York, May 8, 2008
IntraLinks®, Inc., the leading provider of online workspaces for secure document exchange, announced today that its revenue grew 43 percent to $123 million in 2007 from $86.5 million in 2006, achieving its fifth consecutive year of double-digit growth.
As a result of strong improvement in the company’s operating margins, EBITDA increased 65 percent in 2007. Major growth drivers included new features to enhance the user experience and increased penetration of existing worldwide markets, expansion into a broader corporate audience, and rapid adoption in the energy, life sciences, financial services and real estate industries. IntraLinks ended the year with more than 700,000 users from more than 80,000 organizations in 180 countries.
“I am extremely pleased with our achievements in 2007. Our sustained growth, increased profitability and market acceptance resulted in tremendous penetration within our key target markets and an ever-expanding roster of partners and clients,” said J. Andrew Damico, president and chief executive officer of IntraLinks, Inc. “We look forward to further solidifying our position as the leading provider of online workspaces for the global, corporate user.”
In 2007, IntraLinks attained significant organizational milestones: TA Associates and Rho Ventures completed a majority recapitalization of IntraLinks; and, Andrew Pearson was named managing director for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). IntraLinks also improved its platform with enhanced features and functionality, including the roll-out of Workspace Builder™ -- which streamlines the workspace set-up process by giving clients a more powerful, intuitive way to upload and organize large amounts of documents and Download Wizard – which enables users to download all of the items they have access to in a particular workspace or folder en masse.
In addition, IntraLinks was named exclusive provider of virtual dataroom services for the Association of Corporate Counsel and Quintiles Transnational, who have made IntraLinks On-Demand Workspaces available to all members and clients. The company also signed partnership agreements with the SAFE-BioPharma Association, Great Lakes IRB and HSA Horwath Frankfurt.
In recognition of its superior customer service and business development, IntraLinks was named as one of the New York Technology Fast 50.
