Yesterday Intralinks announced the results of the Deal Flow Indicator (DFI) for the fifth year. But some people are still not clear on what the DFI actually is.

The Intralinks Deal Flow Indicator (DFI) is the only indicator of future announced mergers and acquisition activity. It’s based on the volume of deals Intralinks is aware of that are moving into the due diligence phase, months before they are publicly announced.
