Thor Johnson Joins Intralinks as Chief Marketing Officer

Today Intralinks announced the appointment of Thor Johnson to the role of chief marketing officer.

For years, first at marketing automation leader Eloqua and more recently at my marketing consultancy Team Thor Marketing, I have tried to help marketers position their offerings, create deal flow, and get their teams aligned to drive demand.

I’ve had the good fortune to work with many leading global financial services, life sciences and technology firms, helping them gain clearer insights into their customers; create trust between marketing and sales; and develop the discipline for continuous, effective and measurable inbound and outbound marketing.

These experiences have taught me that it’s all about telling a compelling story to people who are eager to listen, and engaging productively with those who want to interact. And, yes, it’s still all about revenue.

I’ve been tapped to join Intralinks as their chief marketing officer. I join an experienced executive team, with an outstanding history of providing secure, scalable collaboration software to financial service companies, the pharmaceutical industry, and to those enterprises that actively manage their document collaboration and distribution processes. Of course, we see enormous room to grow.

Intralinks has a tremendous heritage as an innovator and leading provider of content management and collaboration solutions. Thor Johnson was appointed chief marketing officer for Intralinks in July, 2014. Prior to Intralinks, Thor was CEO of his own marketing strategy firm with clients including leading technology, financial services and manufacturing firms. Earlier, he led marketing for Eloqua Corporation, successfully establishing the company as the premier marketing automation technology supplier and positioning Eloqua for an initial public offering and subsequent acquisition by Oracle Corp.
