Collaboration is key to getting work done in business today. And sometimes, that collaboration needs to happen outside of the organization, with its partners, customers, and remote employees. To keep shared information secure and compliant, it’s essential that you have strong security processes and solutions in place.
Take for example, Fresh Insurance, one of the United Kingdom’s largest, privately owned personal insurance brokerages. Fresh Insurance had two data centers, but it did not have an internal central document repository for storing and accessing content and data. The company has five steering committees that oversee and improve compliance and other operations throughout the organization. The committee members share project information and ideas frequently, often from remote locations. Prior to adopting Intralinks VIA®, Fresh Insurance’s team would collaborate by downloading documents onto their own laptops and emailing that information back and forth. As you can imagine, this presented significant productivity issues considering that there was no efficient way to monitor the progress on activities or locate the current version of a document.
After adopting Intralinks VIA for secure content collaboration, Fresh Insurance’s steering committee members significantly increased collaboration productivity. By implementing our solution, Fresh Insurance was also able to reduce its reliance on email through the solution’s Outlook plug-in. “There’s been a 30-35% improvement in productivity because of how Intralinks VIA presents documents,” said Andrew Tatton, IT Director Fresh Insurance. “You don’t have to look through the files to be sure you’re looking at the right document. You’re looking at one document, not multiple versions.”
By implementing Intralinks, Fresh Insurance can leverage all of Intralinks VIA’s secure capabilities developed specifically for highly regulated industries, and have the peace of mind that all of its collaboration, compliance and governance needs are supported.
