New York, NY, January 13, 2014 — Intralinks® Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: IL), a leading, global SaaS provider of enterprise content collaboration solutions, today announced that Formula Hybrid, an interdisciplinary design and engineering competition for undergraduate and graduate university students, and the Information Security Executive® (ISE®) of the Year Award Program Series, the industry’s most prestigious IT Security award program, have selected Intralinks VIA® for their secure information sharing needs.
Founded and run by the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth since 2006, the Formula Hybrid Competition takes place each spring at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH. In the interdisciplinary design and engineering competition for undergraduate and graduate university students, competitors must collaboratively design and build a formula-style electric or plug-in hybrid racecar and compete in a series of events. The educational competition emphasizes innovation and fuel efficiency in a high-performance application.
“As a design competition for engineering students, we needed a secure way for our sponsors to share information with participants without risking the privacy of their information,” said Amy Keeler, Coordinating Manager, Formula Hybrid. “With more than 200 universities involved in potential entries, having a secure way to collaborate was critical. Intralinks VIA is safe, easy to use, and was ready to use immediately.”
T.E.N., a national technology and security executive networking organization, facilitates peer-to-peer relationships between top executives, industry visionaries, and solutions providers. Its flagship program, the nationally-acclaimed Information Security Executive® (ISE®) of the Year Program Series and Awards, is North America’s largest leadership recognition and networking program for security professionals. Judges are past nominees representing a cross section of industries, including commercial, government, health care, and academic sectors.
“The nominations for the ISE Awards contain a great deal of proprietary information, and the files are too large to email,” said Marci McCarthy, CEO and President, T.E.N. “We create a book of nominations to share with judges and sponsors, and Intralinks VIA enables us to streamline the process, facilitating the judging and increasing our efficiency - keeping all of the confidential information safe.”
“We’re proud that both T.E.N. and Formula Hybrid selected Intralinks VIA to promote excellence by securely sharing sensitive information with competitors and a judging panel,” said Daren Glenister, CTO at Intralinks. “Maintaining the confidentiality of the proprietary information for both competitions is of the utmost importance and Intralinks VIA provided an easy-to-use, secure solution.”
