Intralinks® Holdings, Inc., a leading, global SaaS provider of inter-enterprise content management and collaboration solutions, announced today that it has selected Wingspan Technologies, a leading technology provider for the pharmaceutical and life science industries, to develop an integration for its electronic trial master file (eTMF) solution.
Intralinks’ novel electronic investigator site file (eISF) solution provides an easy and secure way to file site-based documents. The focus is on reducing costly site monitoring visits while improving efficiencies, sponsor visibility and inspection-readiness. More than 60,000 investigators over 2,100 active clinical trials use the Intralinks Studyspace™ platform today to collect critical clinical documents.
Wingspan’s cloud-based eTMF solution ensures that the trial master file contains the correct and appropriate documentation in a manner suitable for managing the conduct of the trial and enabling evaluation by audit or inspection. It supports collaboration across CROs and sponsors, while providing key features to specify and monitor what documents are required for each trial, when they are needed, and whether they have been received and passed the requisite quality check.
The integration between both solutions allows joint customers to gain significant efficiencies by eliminating manual steps when compiling and reconciling the clinical trial documentation. Content that is part of the eISF can be easily and automatically transferred to the electronic trial master file.
“Critical study documents typically originate from or need to be filed in the sponsor’s trial master file,” said Andrew Mitchell, director of strategy and product marketing for life sciences at Intralinks. “Wingspan’s eTMF is widely adopted and highly regarded, so we’re delighted to be working with them to improve the clinical trial process.”
“This integration provides our customers with a best of breed solution to managing clinical trial documentation,” said Troy Deck, principal and founder of Wingspan. “Working with technology leaders like Intralinks is crucial to the value proposition that our customer’s demand in driving down the cost of clinical trials and streamlining the process.”
