Unlocking Secure AI in Dealmaking: Introducing DealCentre MCP
Bringing intelligence closer to your deal data
Modern dealmaking is evolving rapidly, with artificial intelligence becoming a core driver of how organizations evaluate opportunities, manage risk, and accelerate outcomes. As deal teams face increasing pressure to move faster without sacrificing accuracy, the ability to embed AI directly into existing workflows is no longer a luxury. It is a necessity. DealCentre MCP represents a meaningful advancement in this space, enabling organizations to integrate their preferred AI tools directly within the deal environment through the broader DealCentre Connect ecosystem. Rather than extracting data and moving it across multiple systems, teams can now apply AI insights exactly where the data resides. This approach reduces operational friction and enhances continuity, ensuring that insights are always grounded in the most current and complete version of deal information.
Seamless integration without compromising control
DealCentre MCP is designed to simplify how AI capabilities are introduced into complex deal workflows while maintaining a high level of control. As part of the DealCentre Connect ecosystem, it leverages standardized APIs and secure connectivity frameworks to link external AI applications directly to deal rooms. This allows AI tools to perform advanced functions such as searching, summarizing, and analyzing live deal content in real time. By eliminating the need for manual uploads or duplicated datasets, teams reduce inefficiencies and minimize the risk of working from outdated information. The result is a more streamlined workflow where insights are generated dynamically, empowering deal professionals to make faster, better-informed decisions while preserving a consistent and reliable single source of truth across the entire transaction lifecycle.
Built-in governance for every interaction
As AI adoption accelerates, governance and oversight remain critical considerations for organizations operating in high-stakes environments. DealCentre MCP addresses this by embedding robust security and compliance controls into every AI interaction. Existing permission structures extend seamlessly through the DealCentre Connect ecosystem to connected AI tools, ensuring that access is always aligned with user roles and authorization levels. This permission-aware architecture prevents unauthorized exposure of sensitive information while maintaining strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. In addition, comprehensive audit trails capture every interaction, providing full transparency and traceability. This level of oversight strengthens compliance and builds confidence among stakeholders, enabling organizations to embrace AI innovation without compromising their risk posture.
Keeping sensitive data where it belongs
In dealmaking, data security is paramount, and the movement of sensitive information across platforms introduces unnecessary risk. DealCentre MCP addresses this challenge by ensuring that confidential data remains within the secure deal environment at all times, even as it interacts with AI tools through the DealCentre Connect ecosystem. Instead of distributing documents to external tools or environments, AI-driven insights are generated in place, directly within the platform. This approach preserves data integrity, maintains strict control over information access, and supports regulatory compliance requirements. At the same time, it enables organizations to fully leverage the analytical power of AI without disrupting established security frameworks. By keeping data centralized while unlocking advanced intelligence, DealCentre MCP helps teams move faster, operate more securely, and maintain complete confidence in how their most valuable information is managed.

What is DealCentre MCP?
DealCentre MCP is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server built into Intralinks DealCentre. It allows deal teams to connect their preferred third-party AI tools — such as Claude or other MCP-compatible applications — directly to their deal rooms, without downloading or re-uploading any documents.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that enables AI applications to securely connect to external data sources. DealCentre’s implementation of this standard means your AI tools can read, search, and analyze live deal room content while all data remains inside Intralinks’ secure environment.
How does DealCentre MCP relate to DealCentre AI?
DealCentre MCP is not a separate product. It is a connectivity layer built on top of DealCentre that exposes deal room data to MCP-compatible AI tools through a secure, permissioned server.
DealCentre remains the secure foundation — document storage, permissioning, audit, and compliance. The MCP server is the interface that allows AI tools to work with that data without bypassing any of its controls.
Does DealCentre MCP move deal data outside of Intralinks?
Deal data stays within Intralinks, under client control at all times.
DealCentre ensures that access to content is tightly governed. Ensure sensitive data stays protected, and any external access is only possible when explicitly permitted. Instead of requiring downloads and re-uploads into external AI tools, DealCentre MCP enables secure, in-place access to deal content—maintaining full control and auditability.
The AI comes to the data. The data stays protected.
Is deal data used to train AI models?
No. DealCentre MCP does not permit deal data to be used to train external or third-party models.
All AI interactions are governed, logged, and constrained to the specific deal context with least-privilege access.
How does DealCentre MCP control access and permissions?
DealCentre MCP is permission-aware by design. Every request from a connected AI tool is validated against the user’s existing DealCentre permissions before any data is returned. This includes:
- Buyer group isolation
- Role‑based groups
- Confidential Q&A boundaries
A connected AI tool can only see documents that its user is already authorized to access within the deal room. No special grants or separate permission management are required.
How is this different from using ChatGPT or other AI tools directly?
When using AI tools without DealCentre MCP, deal teams typically download confidential documents and upload them into an external AI application. This breaks the chain of custody, creates uncontrolled document copies, and produces no audit record of how deal data was used.
DealCentre MCP eliminates this pattern entirely. AI tools connect directly to the deal room and work with documents in place, delivering:
- No document downloads or uncontrolled copies
- Full audit trail of every AI interaction
- AI outputs scoped strictly to what the user is permitted to see
How does DealCentre MCP support compliance and audit requirements?
Every interaction between a connected AI tool and the deal room is:
- Logged with granular detail: user, AI application, timestamp, and action taken
- Scoped to the deal room, so AI access cannot exceed the user’s authorized permissions
- Governed by the same DealCentre controls that apply to all human user activity
This provides a unified audit trail — human and AI activity recorded together under the same user identity — supporting regulatory, legal, and client obligations.
