The Intralinks Annual M&A Leaks Report

Research by Cass Business School and Intralinks shows M&A deals leaks have increased despite tightening regulations

After a six-year low, deal leaks have increased. What caused the reversal and how are deals being affected?

The Intralinks Annual M&A Leaks Report sheds light, by region and sector, on the risks and rewards associated with leaking deals and the impact of regulatory enforcement.

This annual study conducted by Intralinks with the M&A Research Centre at Cass Business School, London, examined over 5,000 transactions globally from 2009 to 2015, looking for unique signals that indicate M&A deal leaks.

"On aggregate globally, regulators are placing an increasing focus on new regulations to tackle market abuse and enforcing penalties for financial misconduct. But our data shows this is not translating into fewer deal leaks."
